Benefits Of Recycling Metals

Recycling is the act of processing used or abandoned materials and use them as raw materials for new products. It becomes a necessity today for all of us recycle the waste due to lack of availability of raw materials on earth. Studies show that the amount of waste generated by society seems to be much higher than the industry.

Millions of tons of Metal Recycling in the UK alone every year, generating billions of pounds of revenue. Just over half of the recycled metal is exported to meet foreign demand and the rest is processed in the UK to make the metal more. Metal is a material very useful and versatile that are used to make many items in everyday use including cars, trucks, boats, aircraft, household appliances, railroads, cutlery, ovens and of course also be used for packaging.

One major advantage in the metal recycling is that it can be recycled again and again without losing the properties of the metal itself. Therefore, precious metal commodities and thus, when the metal item reaches the end of his life, can be used 100% of the time to make new metal. The most common use of metal in every household today today Steel and Aluminum - Steel used to make food cans and aluminum used to make soft drink cans.

You can tell the difference between Steel and Aluminum using a magnet because Steel will stick to the magnet while aluminum will not. This makes the sorting of various types of metal at the recycling depot is much easier because opponents say plastic recycling where sorting is much more complex practice. When the metal recycling, it is divided into Ferrous metals and non-Ferrous.

Ferrous Metals Recycling
Ferrous scrap metal is a metal of Steel and Iron so this includes canned goods, scrap metal from cars and domestic appliances, etc. According to the British Metals Recycling Association (BMRA), more than four and a half million tons of Iron and Steel scrap metal supplied to the steel plant in England in 2005 to create a new steel and more than 6 million tons exported. Scrap metal is iron and the growth of demand has increased about 5% per year in the last decade.

Non Ferrous Metals Recycling
Nonferrous scrap metal is a waste of metals such as Aluminum, (so including beverage cans, foil milk bottle top, wrapping foil, baking trays, kitchen foil, etc.) And also Copper, and other metals such as nickel, brass, titanium, etc. Lead and Chromium Waste non ferrous metals less available but it is more profitable than Ferrous Metals. According to the BMRA, in 2005, more than one million tonnes of non ferrous metals processed and nearly half of this was followed by Copper Aluminum and other metal later. More than 800,000 tons are exported representing an increase of 20% in 2004 figures.

The advantage of recycling the main use of recycling is nothing other than environmental protection.
As for the other benefits are as follows:
1. Much energy is stored during the recycling of metals, rather than to create new metals.
2. Water pollution does not occur and the water used is recycled for less metal than to make new metal.
3. Reduced CO2 emissions & there is less air pollution.
4. Reducing the need to mine the raw materials needed to make a metal such as iron ore for Steel, Nickel for Stainless Steel and Alumina and Bauxite to Aluminium.
5. Recycling seven steel cans saves enough energy to power a 60 watt light bulb for 26 hours
6. Reducing the amount of metal going to landfill that stores waste of valuable resources. Number of scrap iron and steel yourself, if not recycled, would fill more than 184 million cubic meters of landfill.

From now on let's keep our earth now and for future

The Recycling Of Waste Glass

Recycling is one method used to minimize the amount of waste that is to increase its economic value to goods that are useful. Recycling is a process for reduce the use of new raw materials, reduce energy use, reduce pollution, land degradation, and greenhouse gas emissions when compared to new manufacturing processes.

The material consists of recycled waste glass, plastic, paper, metals, textiles, and electronic goods. Although similar, the composting process that generally uses waste biomass which can be degraded by nature, are not categorized as a recycling process. Recycling is more focused on waste that can not be degraded by natural naturally by reducing land degradation. Broadly speaking, recycling is the process of garbage collection, sorting, cleaning, and processing of new materials for the production process.

One of the recycling business is the product made from recycled glass. Many of the methods used by the craftsmen to turn waste glass into the recycling business by utilizing glass used as a base for the manufacture of handicrafts. One of them is an art form of glass craft from flying glass materials. Besides impressed luxury, unique shape will attract consumers. This could be a pretty lucrative business opportunities in handicrafts made from broken glass.

Materials needed to make various crafts of glass is broken glass or broken bottles, jars used, and other used goods made of glass. After collection, the following are the processing steps.

• Clean the glass from contaminating materials, and wash.
• Once completely clean, the glass material is melted in a furnace for 24 hours with a temperature of 1,500 degrees Celsius.
• Once completely melted, form the glass as you wish.
• Fusion of this glass can also be used as road construction material and road construction called glassphalt. Glassphalt road coating material that uses 30 percent recycled glass material.

Besides melted, the glass material can be cut into pieces and modified into the desired shapes. For example, the form of toy and miniature historic buildings.

Various shapes can be in the form of waste glass into new shapes with added value in it. Starting from flower vases, lamp shades, as well as a new form of toys, among other things, the form of firearms, trains, cars, helicopters, motorcycles, horse cart, rickshaw, and musical instruments drums, arches, decorative lamps and others. The price offered was quite varied

Here is an example result of recycling of waste glass:

Plastic Recycling to Reduce the Impact of Global Warming

Plastics are materials composed of artificial inorganic chemicals are quite dangerous enough for the environment. Instead of plastic waste is very difficult to be degraded naturally. To describe the plastic waste itself requires approximately 80 years to be degraded completely. Therefore the use of plastic materials can be said to be unfriendly to the environment or conservative when used without the use of certain restrictions. While in everyday life, we uses plastic materials we can find in almost all activities of our lives. And if we are aware, we are able to do more for this is by using the back (reuse) plastic bags stored at home. Thus indirectly we have reduced plastic waste that can be wasted after use (reduce). Or even better if we can recycle the plastic into something more useful (recycle).

Plastic is a material different physical properties, mechanical, and chemical. Broadly speaking, the plastic can be classified into two major categories, namely plastics are thermoplastic and which are thermoset.Thermoplastic can be reshaped easily and processed into another form, whereas type when it has hardened thermoset can not be softened again. The most common plastics used in everyday life are in the form of thermoplastic.

Utilization of waste plastics with recycling is generally done by the industry. In general there are four requirements for a plastic waste can be processed by an industry, among others, certain wastes must be in the form as needed (seeds, pellets, powders, shards), wastes must be homogeneous, not contaminated, and sought not oxidized. To overcome this problem, before use of plastic waste is processed through simple steps, namely splitting, cutting, washing, and removal of substances such as iron and so on.

In addition, the efforts of plastic waste into products that are functional and have a high selling power at present has a bright prospect, let alone the current issue of global warming and green areas echoed many of the world community and is able to arouse public awareness to appreciate the leftovers / wastes such as waste plastic.
Besides the impact of the adoption of the manual system in the printing of plastic products in addition to reducing the exploitation of the use of pure raw materials (virgin material), plastic waste processing chain also will involve many actors recycling or in other words can absorb a lot of manpower which means it can reduce the burden of unemployment .

Here are a plastic recycling process using a special machine plastic recycler:

1. Sort, separate raw materials and dispose of the material / foreign substances that are not expected to go into the recycling process.
2. Cutting and chopping in the form of original plastic (bags or plastic sheets.
3. Laundering in order not to interfere with the milling process, in a way Prewashing using liquid media as a means for separating foreign materials, especially in order not to participate in the next process is Laundering Phase 2 using water friction machine where the material was washed again by a screw that rotates upward at high speed so as the result of friction can release foreign material left on the material.
4. Mechanical drying is by squeezing the material in a circular motion so that water can come out and by evaporation of water at a certain temperature so that the material completely free of the inherent temperature.
5. Heating the material that has been cleared of impurities are melted by heating the material at a temperature of 200 degrees C where the temperature of the heat generated by the heater and then streamed to melt into the screening process.

so from now we are using plastic to a minimum to preserve our natural and keep our earth today and for the future.

Recycled Paper

Recycling is the process to make a scrap materials into new materials with the aim of preventing the waste, otherwise it is useless to change things into something useful, reducing the use of new raw materials, reduce energy use, reduce pollution, land degradation, and greenhouse gas glass when compared with the process of making new stuff.
Paper comes from trees which is processed into paper. Using recycled paper means no cutting of trees and indirectly prevent deforestation and to help preserve nature and prevent global warming.

Here are the steps used paper recycling:

Tools and materials needed to make recycled paper
1. paper
2. blender
3. basin
4. sponge
5. table
6. fabric
7. screen
8. boards and equipment weights

How to Make
1. Small-Keil torn scrap paper and soak in water for 1 day
2. Blend the paper until the pulp (refined)
3. Pour into a basin of water and stirred
4. Put the sponge on the table, then put a cloth soaked with above
5. Strain the mixture (not too thick) in the basin using screen printing
6. Put on a sponge that has been coated fabric upside down, rub a little screennya and carefully lift
7. Cover with a cloth that has been moistened. adds one more layer of wet cloth, repeat steps 5 and 6
8. After a few layers press to put a big sign on it and give it a weight (brick or stone)
9. let stand for hours to get the water sekitar1 reduced. before being appointed make sure it is dry enough. pick up a pair after pair and place the hot sun. then ironing a pair of cloth for a pair and then open it slowly.

If you want to create or a special style, try some of the processes below,

1. Patch process. Before we close the pulp mixture with a cloth that has been moistened, paste flowers, grass or small leaves on top.
2. Process mixture. When a blend of paper, add flowers, grass or other natural materials that will provide specific colors and patterns.
3. Process Press. When he was paper pressing, put a patterned leaves or something good. put a board on top and give ballast.

Examples of items that can be made with Recycled paper.

• Paper for drawing artwork
• Packaging a book, pencil, etc.
• Invitations, envelopes, folders, etc.. recycled paper is also great for taped over the works that can be made from cardboard.
• pencil box & photo frame
• gift boxes

If we want to give color on recycled paper using natural materials to dye the recycled paper we could use some materials that can be used to give color. are: Turmeric, Teak Leaves, Leaves Pandanus.

Other Ways Recycled Paper:

1. Shredded paper in a small size. Soak in a bucket of water during the night.
2. Take about 1.5 renclaman paper cups, insert it into the blender. Add 2 cups water and blend until evenly distributed.
3. Pour the solution was refined into the basin width. Strain through a sieve gauze framed,
so that a thin layer of paper on its surface.
4. Paste this new layer of paper to a flat hard surface, such as wooden boards. Remove the filter screen.
5. Absorptive surface of the new paper with a cloth to excess water relieve. Drying to dry in the sun,
6. When new paper is dry, gently remove from the board surface. So that the paper has a beautiful motif, add leaves or other materials at the time of screening. That way, additional material to be joined together with the paper material.

Advantages Recycled Paper :

1) Prevent and reduce the waste.
2) Potential creativity and art.
3) an additional source of income.

Rainwater Harvesting

Water is the source of life, but too much or too little water will be a threat to life. Can we "save" rainwater to be harvested at a later date? Rain is a boon, but most of us do not realize even throwing away a lot of benefits from the rain, we have felt the impact of global warming. Many sources of clean water is lost, we're having difficulties getting clean water sources. So from now we should be able to utilize existing sources one of which is rain water.
The more dense the population, the need for water to be increasing. Along with that, from time to time the condition of surface soil water decreased. Impact of water table decline is not without problems. Poor quality of water we consume is one result.  For Moreover regions that have a low altitude, such as coastal beaches. Leads to an intrusion (intrusion) of sea water so it will taste brackish ground water because sea water is mixed by having high salt content. Due to the more severe is vanish soil surface (land subsidence) and decrease the carrying capacity of the city. This condition will greatly influence the presence of tall buildings and urban infrastructure.
Ironically, amid the difficulties of abundant rain water is generally allowed to be wasted. Only a handful of people who want to use it. And if the rain water would be used, almost all water needs can be addressed. As for washing, bathing, toilets, watering plants, washing vehicles and others.

Collecting rainwater for uses that would come or temporary diversion of rain water in an effort to prevent water wastage is an important water conservation efforts. How to use rain water may vary from the simple to the complex. All of these require extra effort, but with a little ingenuity, the results obtained will be very important. Here are some ways make use of rainwater:

• Navigate to the Gardens or Vertical Pipe Yard House
Vertical pipes in the house is usually located near waterways, such as water channels in the driveway. Often the rain water just became exiles, delivering chemical waste and toxins before it was in the flow of water or oceans. Changing the vertical pipe flow is one way to conserve rain water. Simple movement of the vertical pipe so that rain water flows directly into the yard of the house or garden can be used to make water.
Because the water percolating through the soil surface, dirt filtered, creating cleaner groundwater. Before draining the water, we must make sure that if the location of final disposal of water can hold large amounts of rain water and dry, and has many trees.

• Water Tank / Water Tank rainwater
Place the rain barrel under vertical pipes to collect rainwater. Barrels are available in various sizes and can be equipped with a tap and hose for easy use. Rainwater can be used for watering plants.

• Reservoir
Reservoirs are very useful for collecting rain water in large quantities. Reservoirs collect water from water sources such as roof or catchment area. Place soil under or above ground reservoirs are generally able to accommodate more water than the rain barrel. Filtering system would work better with the reservoir. For utilization of rain water to drink required a more rigorous screening system.

• Landscaping
Appropriate landscaping can have a major impact on the conservation of rain water. Straw and compost retain water and prevent erosion. Use the gravel so that rainwater can be absorbed by the soil. If erosion occurs, use of plants, trees, and shrubs to stabilize the soil.

Water Saving

Saving water is one solution in the clean water crisis that increasingly we feel especially in big cities. One of them is by saving on water consumption at home, in addition to saving money is also a wise step for the environment primarily by the availability of clean water is increasingly difficult and less because of the increasing levels of water contamination and dwindling water is absorbed back into the ground. In addition, we have helped reduce the impact of global warming, preserve nature and keep our beloved earth.
For areas that still rely on groundwater as their main source of clean water, saving water also means reducing the consumption of ground water which if exploited could lead to excessive reduction in the surface soil.
There are some easy ways you can do to save water at home include:

  • Turn off the faucet while brushing your teeth. Leaving the tap open 1 minute same as letting 9 liters of water wasted. Will be more efficient if you use glasses so water is not flowing continuously.
  • If possible, take a bath with shower. Bath with shower 3 times more efficient than the water bath with a bailer.
  • Immediately fix a leaky faucet. Leaky faucet can throw water up to 13 liters of water per day.
  • Use a toilet that uses two water flushing system. Each flushing system works according to the volume of water released. When the toilet is used only for urination, use flushing with small volumes which would be more efficient water consumption.
  • Choose the type of washing machine that requires little water.
  • If you wear glasses to drink water, fill a glass with just enough water swallowed up entirely. Avoid drinking water only or do not spend half a glass of drinking water in plastic containers.

  • Put a bucket under the faucet or ablution shelter, water being stored during ablution can be used to clean the bathroom, toilet, or for watering plants.
  • Use water washing vegetables and fruits used for watering plants. In addition to saving, water used washing vegetables, fruits and meat could actually fertilize the plants.
  • If possible, avoid using a hose. Use watering cans or buckets to wash the car.
  • Wash plants in the evening or early morning so water easily soak into the roots. Watering during the day only makes the water evaporate in vain.
  • Make biopori holes in the garden or around the house. These holes help to speed up the process of absorption of water into the soil, thus reducing the amount of water evaporated into free nature.

Of the total amount of water that exists on earth, 97 percent is sea water (salt) that can not be consumed and there is only 3 percent of fresh water. But from 3 percent, 2 percent in the form of frozen water in the North and South Pole. The remaining 1 percent were not all clean and only 0.62 percent are suitable for consumption. And fresh water, clean and worthy of this consumption-saving we have to save, compare the total population of the earth and the ratio of the amount of water that only 3 percent. Environmental factors including increasing population and climate change, making the water becomes an increasingly precious resource. So from now on we conserve water use, from small things at home for present and future and conserving nature and this beloved earth.

Saving Electricity

Global warming already we feel its effects today, There are many ways we can do to reduce the impact of global warming. One of them is to save electricity.
Here are practical ways you can do to make savings of electricity which, if carried out would give a good impact on the environment, as well as to help prevent or slow global warming:

1. Always use energy saving lamps TL lamps equipped with a condenser.
2. Always use air-conditioning, television, radio and other electronic devices as needed.
3. Use a volume of television, radio and other electronic devices naturally.
4. Place the refrigerator in a place away from heat (sunlight, stoves or other heat source).

5. Always use a washing machine according to maximum capacity.
6. We recommend that you select televisions, fans, and other electronic devices that has a timer and set the timer as needed.
7. Use water storage tanks if you have a conventional jet pump (electric water pump).
8. Before using the vacuum cleaner, clean the dust filter on a regular basis so that electric motors do not work harder.
9. Get used to turn off room lights if you were going to leave the room.

In addition to the above tips, there are many more practical ways to help the program effective & energy efficient (if you have any other tips, please add in comments field), let's participate in helping to prevent or slow down global warming.

Indirectly, we can reduce pollution by saving on electricity usage. Because power plants including units that generate pollutants, one of which CO2. With increasing concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere, the more heat waves reflected from the surface of the earth's atmosphere is absorbed. This will result in the Earth's surface temperature to be increased. Just a reminder, the world's electricity usage so the largest contributor (37%) of greenhouse gases. Therefore we can come into play to reduce global warming by saving on electricity usage. You do this by using energy efficient light bulbs or electrical equipment efficiently.

Many ways we can do to prevent and reduce global warming and the impacts of global warming continues to threaten the lives of living things in this world. Every little thing we do to address global warming will certainly make life and the lives of our children and grandchildren in the future will be better and not slumped because the act of what we did in the past. Let us tackle global warming together.

Waste Recycling to Reduce Global Warming

Another thing we can do to reduce the impact of global warming is to not throw waste haphazardly and could take advantage of used goods or waste into more useful items. The increasing level of private consumption as well as other activities also increased effluent / waste generated. Waste / effluent generated from the activity and private consumption is often called the domestic waste or garbage.

Waste into environmental problems because of the quantity and level of danger of disrupting the lives of other living creatures. Besides increasing industrial activity can not be separated from environmental issues. Industry in addition to producing products also produce waste. And if industrial waste is discharged directly into the environment will cause environmental pollution. Waste is waste generated from a production process both industrial and domestic (household, better known as junk), whose presence is not desired because it can pollute the environment and damage the environment. Types of waste are basically two forms in common: solid and liquid, with three basic principles of processing waste treatment technologies;

The steps that need to be done for recycling:

The separation.

Separate items / materials that can be recycled with the waste should be dumped into landfills. Make sure the material is vacant and would be better if it is clean.

Storage.

Save items / materials that have been separated was dried in a box / box closed depending on the type of goods, such as boxes for waste paper, bottles, etc.. If it will make the compost, piles of household garbage in composting sites.

 Delivery

delivery / Sale of Goods sold to the collected waste processing plant in need of such waste materials as feedstock.

In outline, waste can be divided into three types, namely:

I. An Organic Waste garbage is not easily broken / rotted instead of a liquid & gas and often referred to as dry waste. An organic rubbish can be divided into two parts:
a. Obsolete goods. Goods that can be recycled again be clean and not damaged, have high economic value. Example: metal, iron, tin, plastic, rubber, etc..
b. Not an organic waste decayed goods are really damaged and can be traded so ill have no economic value.

II. Organic Waste garbage that easily weathered / broken, instead of a liquid / gas and is often called wet waste. Organic waste consists of 3 parts:
a. Fresh organic waste, such as kitchen garbage, gardens, markets and restaurants.
b. By organic waste such as paper, cardboard, etc..
c. Options for organic waste recycling organic waste into compost selected fresh and soft and does not include a hard wet shaped like the rest of the vegetables, spices & rest of the fruit.

III. Waste Hazardous Waste must be handled specifically to neutralize the pollution. Trash must be separated from the others so that the recycling process more quickly and produce products that are free of hazardous materials. Example: broken glass & glass, residual chemicals, batteries, bottles of insect repellent & nails.

hopefully with our trash in its place and can make use of waste that are not used to be more useful items that we can preserve nature and our environment and also help reduce the impact of global warming.
Due to the healthy environment it creates a healthy life, let's keep our earth now and for future generations.

Plant a Tree

To Reduce the impact of global warming can be done by everyone. Reducing the impact of global warming does not have to wear in ways that complicated, and expensive. We can all come into play to reduce the impact of global warming in ways that are simple and inexpensive. The key factor in limiting global warming by limiting emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) and prevents carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere. Unfortunately there are still many people who knowingly or not has not been able to avoid activities that cause increased global warming.
For example, an office worker has been unable to leave a private vehicle because fossil fuel is still expensive and the lack of alternative energy sources that are environmentally friendly. Want to take advantage of public transportation, but the service is available away from the feasibility, a smoker who has not been able to stop his hobby.

Sparing in the use of paper and tissue, reducing the impact of global warming. As we all know which ones, and tissue paper is a product of wood-based vital. The more we consume, and tissue paper means more trees are felled. Reducing paper usage will have an impact on the reduced number of trees felled. More and more trees are left, the more carbon dioxide to be absorbed from the air. And it contributes a lot to nature in reducing the impact of global warming.

Planting trees is an initial effort to reduce global warming,

Actually the only way to reduce global warming is situated on the shoulders of men. It required a mass movement that is performed with the same movement by all human beings living on earth with the same commitment of reducing global warming. This is a shared responsibility, in fact by changing a few habits that can increase global warming.

1. Reduce the addition of CO2 in the air by making savings and restrictions on the use of equipment and everything triggers or contributors to added CO2 into the air.
2. Neutralizing reproduce natural CO2 by planting trees. As we know trees need CO2 for the growth process, namely the events of photosynthesis. Planting as many trees of any kind.
solutions to address global warming is to plant as many trees leaf green trees and of course the reduction in use of equipment that trigger global warming is a wise and quick efforts to overcome global warming.

For that let us develop embroidery and a shared commitment to:

1. Create a culture like planting trees
2. Culture for not cutting trees carelessly
3. Culture to conserve the use of equipment that trigger an increase in global warming. Use only as needed and do not overdo it.
4. Use of equipment and use environmentally friendly equipment.

Missions that can be used to ensure the success of the vision above is:

1. Planting trees can make money in quick time. This will trigger and pull people to plant a certain tree species. In this case the plant is not merely to reduce global warming but there is business value. In other words plant a tree because there is a business motivation.
2. Revive mankind of the importance of considering the balance of nature men live together on earth. If the earth where humans and other living creatures is damaged then inevitably will impact on all living creatures on the earth.
3. The existence of laws agreed upon to save the world from destruction. This is important because the culture in which humans live there are also different. If there is an understanding that each human being is different then it can go hand in hand with the same effort to bring back to nature.
4. Planting trees for the life of present and future.
5. Efforts soon Action now because of what we do today determines our next step. It's not his time anymore and that's what this debate is not important, but nature requires proof not promises. Because Nature responds to what it is as a natural chemical reaction to a change in the nature itself.
6. Do not refer to each other and invite others but show that you and I have been planting trees. Not just one but every opportunity we squeeze in time for planting trees.

let us plant trees, let us save our children's future and for the sake of a better future.
